The world post COVID-19 continues to suffer the aftershocks of the pandemic disruptions that have revolutionised how businesses and financial systems operate worldwide. This global shift, resultant from health and economic crises forced businesses and financial institutions to evolve or perish. However, the pandemic has also interestingly augmented the fourth industrial revolution (4IR) adoption process by businesses.
This conference aptly themed: Resilience and Regeneration of Businesses and Financial Markets in the Fourth Industrial Revolution creates a platform for researchers and business practitioners to critically explore research topics under the theme.
Businesses anticipate that adopting the 4IR can deliver good results, such as decline in labour costs and increase in productivity, and can lead to better resilience, especially against oscillates of economic cycles. Nevertheless, businesses and financial markets are not invulnerable to volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity brought about by the disruptive ability of the 4IR. Henceforth, Businesses and Financial Markets Resilience and Regeneration in the 4IR has become a research topic of interest to many researchers.
